Alive And Thriving
I'm soooo excited for this email!
Sorryyy about last week!!! I'm just so immersed in the work, I love it so much! There's so much to tell, so many miracles each and every day. I'm so lucky to be apart of the GREATEST work on the Earth!
By no means is every day easy, but when you turn to your Savior even the hardest days can be AMAZING.
It was so sad, this Wednesday our roommates left for Romania! I'm truly so stoked for them, but at the same time I loved them so much and didn't want them to leave. You grow to love the people here so fast, they all feel like my brothers. I know they're going to do great things on Romania!!! My newww roommates are crazy! Two of them are headed to Texas, and the other two are both speaking Manderin which is wild to hear, since they grew up speaking it and are already pretty much fluent. One of them in going to Canada and the other is going to Cali.
The funniest story of the week is with these new roommates, it was actually last night. We were honestly all exhausted and just ready to go to bed early, when all of the sudden the roommate heading to Cali gets up and starts saying with clippers in his hands "I won't shave my head right now, I bet I wont" I was just confused because we were just talking about how tired we were. Then he walks to the bathroom and BOOM... he's bald. SOOOO that's that
My spanish is coming along, veryyy slowly but I feel my growth every day! My brain is fried trying to think, understand and speak in Spanish, but it's all worth it, and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. It all worth it when I think of that one person in Oaxaca Mexico on their knees praying for a miracle!!! I can't wait to try to be that miracle for them. That reminds me of a scripture that's been on my mind! I've been able to share it with my family, but I really want everyone to hear the gravity these words hold, because we are ALL missionaries!
This is D&C 18 13-17
13And how great is his joy in the soul that repenteth!
14 Wherefore, you are called to cry repentance unto this people.
15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
16 And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!
17 Behold, you have my gospel before you, and my rock, and my salvation.
Speaking of miracles I'd love to share one last story of the power of prayer. I've been stressing a little bit because my whole district has been having their consulate meeting for their visa's and I was yet to have mine. And if I went another week without getting it I would've been temporarily reassigned. I dropped down to my knees in the middle of what old people would call the "quad" and I asked my Heavnly Father to help me in any way possible according to his will. Exactly an hour later I had an email confirming my appointment. I know God's a God of miracles without a shadow of a doubt. I also know with 100% certainty that the Gift of Tongues is real!
I miss my family more than words can explain, but I wouldn't trade this work for anything. These 2 years will bring eternal joy! For myself and others.
I love you all and so does your loving Heavnly Father and his Son Jesus the Christ!!!
